Dormice (Year 2 AS)

Welcome back! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed spending time with family, friends and loved ones, plus of course had a well-earnt rest! This Spring 1 half-term we will be studying ‘Fire! Fire!’, learning lots of interesting facts about The Great Fire of London. This will give us the opportunity to develop our historical research skills and begin to write recounts and compose diary entries, much like Samuel Pepys! You’ll find lots of information about the Great Fire using the links below.

On this page you will find:

   - The home learning grid for the Spring 1 half-term

   - New spellings

   - Topic grid.

The documents listed above, which can be found at the bottom of this page, have all been refreshed for this half term. More documents, links and information which will support your child's ongoing learning may be added throughout the course of the half term.

Important information:

   - PE days – Tuesday and Friday. Please make sure your child’s PE kit is in school on a Monday morning. Kits will come home on Friday.

   - Home Learning, including folders with the Home Learning Grids at the front, need to be in by Tuesday each week. Home learning activities will be sent home on a Friday.

   - Spelling books should come into school on a Wednesday ready for Friday spelling tests.

Kind regards,

Miss Pottinger and Mrs Ford.
