Sport Relief Week 2018

, Posted in School News

Dear Parents and Carers,
At Warfield Church of England Primary School we are all really excited to be taking part in Sport Relief 2018! As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise money and change lives.
This year, Sport Relief will be taking place in school and between Monday 19th March and Friday 23rd March. To support and raise money we will be participating in the Daily Mile Challenge. The children will be given the opportunity to walk, jog, run, skip or any other sensible movement around our mapped out route around the school playground and field. The children are not required to wear PE kit or trainers but can do so if they wish. However they are encouraged to try their best and participate in the challenge every day for that week.
Please find attached ‘Please Sponser Me’ form if your child/children would like to collect sponsorship money to support Sport Relief 2018. In addition to this we will also be selling blue and red Sport Relief 2018 wristbands during the week at a cost of £1 each, however we do have limited stock.
And, the best thing is, the money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world's poorest countries. To learn more about how Comic Relief spends the money raised for Sport Relief visit:
We will also be using Sport Relief as a teaching opportunity so that your children can learn about the issues other children across the world face, and how the money we raise can help them.
We really appreciate your support and hope that you’ll have fun helping our school raise lots of money for Sport Relief!
Yours faithfully,
Mr Currie
