Collective Worship
All schools in the country are required to deliver a daily act of Collective Worship. This worship can be as a whole school or in small groups and should be broadly Christian in character.
At Warfield we use our collective worship to explore our values, learning habits and vision using stories and role models from across all faiths and cultures. We also explore themes and world events and festivals as appropriate for our community.
As a Church of England school all our collective worship sessions include a time of reflection and an opportunity to join in with invitational prayer.

Withdrawing from worship/managing worship with multiple faiths
Parents have the right to withdraw their child from collective worship. Children and adults in our school community have a wide range of beliefs (from many religious backgrounds) including those of no belief and this should be respected.
Children and adults are invited to join in with all aspects of worship, however, they may choose to respectfully refrain e.g. by sitting quietly. Worship is not supposed to be in doctrinal or used as an evangelising tool and as such, care must be taken with how worship is led. For example, if a Christian belief is being explored, the leader may say: “Christians believe…….” They should not make the assumption and say, “we believe…”
