Welcome back to school and to your new class Otters and Raccoons!
We hope that you had a lovely Summer holiday and you are ready to learn. We are looking forward to hearing about your summer holidays and sharing your Summer Task Bags with you.
We are very excited to share our new topic 'Let’s Grow!' with you this half term. We will be finding out how plants grow alongside using our Warfield Values including Teamwork and Respect. This term we will be transitioning from our routines in Reception to being in the Year 1 class. During this term we will be revisiting place value, problem solving and addition in maths and revisiting Phase 3 and 4 phonics before moving onto Phase 5.

Information:
P.E days are Thursdays and Fridays. Children need to come to school dressed in their PE kit on these days following the uniform policy. Earrings need to be taken out or taped over.
(FYI - PE days will change to a Monday and Thursday in Summer 1&2)
Home-folders need to be in school everyday.
Spelling books need to be in their home-folder for their spelling test every Friday.
No bags larger than book bags please. Bags take up a lot of space and are usually empty. Packed lunch boxes and water bottles are removed from bags on entry to school, a book bag is large enough to contain the items needed to travel to and from the classroom. Large bags will be need to be taken home with the parent at drop off.
Please ensure your child’s clothing is named and is in line with the school uniform policy. Children will be sent home with a slip if their uniform does not adhere to the policy.
