Welcome to Year 4! We hope both you and your families had a wonderful summer break.
The learning this term is jam packed. In maths, the children will be looking at place value as well as addition and subtraction. Stories from other cultures is the driver for our English topic, with the focus looking at rainforest setting descriptions and persuasive writing.
Our geography topic is Journeys with the key question being whether we would rather live in the UK or Brazil. The children will learn the difference between physical and human geography as part of their study.
In computing, the children will learn how computers are connected together using the internet and come to understand how networks are formed.
'What do Christians learn from the creation story?' is the key question for our RE studies this half term.
Beatrice Milhazes is our focus for Art and in PSHE we will focus on families and our relationships with others.

P.E. Days - Monday and Tuesday- please wear P.E. Uniform to school on these days. Please ensure you are up to date with our uniform policy, including the removal of earrings for PE. An up to date copy of the uniform policy can be found here: https://www.warfieldprimary.co.uk/School-Uniform/
Spelling: We will begin Step 1 on our list from w/c 7.9.26
No bags larger than book bags please. Our cloakroom is increasingly full with large bags that are taking up a lot of space. Packed lunch boxes and water bottles are removed from bags on entry to school, a book bag is large enough to contain the items needed to travel to and from the classroom. Large bags will be need to be taken home with the parent at drop off.
Please ensure your child's uniform and all personal items are named, to ensure it can be returned to its rightful owner when they take it off. A rain coat is always useful.
Water bottles and a healthy snack are also required each day.
